Academic understanding
What do they actually understand?
Check the concepts and prerequisites beneath the English. Do not assume that difficulty expressing an answer means the learner needs easier academic work.
A Foundry pathway
For academically capable learners who are not yet ready to learn confidently in English. Foundry separates academic understanding from language access, then builds both through one personalized path.
Right level
Keep academics appropriately ambitious
Right language
Build the English blocking access
Right environment
Practise with Guides and peers
The hidden academic problem
A learner may understand mathematical reasoning, scientific concepts or complex ideas in another language, yet appear behind when classroom English, reading comprehension or academic vocabulary gets in the way.

Language access
Identify the precise reading, writing, listening, speaking and classroom-language gaps that are suppressing otherwise capable work.
A learner's academic level and English level do not have to be the same. Foundry can work on both.

The resulting pathway follows the right level, right pace and right next step. Parents can see academic progress and language progress separately, rather than receiving one vague English score.
English with a purpose
Understand the classroom
Build the language needed to follow instructions, understand explanations, read subject material and recognise the vocabulary that appears across an international-school day.
Learn through English
Use English to solve worthwhile academic problems. A learner should not spend every hour studying English as an isolated subject when they can develop it while learning something real.
Participate with confidence
Practise asking for clarification, explaining an idea, joining group work, presenting a result and completing work independently in the language of the classroom.
One pathway, appropriate schedules
English Bridge can run through Foundry's existing formats. Families register the schedules they could use, and Foundry opens a cohort when the dates, group and minimum enrollment make sense.
Focused English and academic-access work alongside the learner's current school, offered in defined blocks when a suitable cohort is available.
A full-day English immersion experience built around learning, projects, challenges and communication rather than worksheets and language drills.
A longer, more immersive option for families preparing for an English-medium school transition, opened when sufficient demand forms a coherent cohort.
Registering interest does not imply that every schedule is already confirmed. Final dates, price, reservation conditions and refund terms are provided before payment.
October and summer
A full-day English immersion experience built around learning, projects, challenges and communication, not worksheets and language drills.
Learners spend the day using English to understand instructions, solve academic problems, make decisions, work with teammates, build something and explain the result.

No. English development is part of the pathway, but learners use English to understand academic material, solve problems, complete projects and communicate with other people. The objective is successful participation in an English-medium school, not simply finishing a language textbook.
Not automatically. The Learning Profile distinguishes what the learner does not yet understand academically from what they understand but cannot comfortably access or express in English. Academic work can remain appropriately ambitious while language support adapts around it.
No. It can also suit learners already attending an English-medium school whose language development is suppressing their academic performance, recently arrived families and globally mobile families preparing for their next school transition.
No. Starting levels, needs and rates of language development differ. Foundry establishes a baseline and reports concrete progress in academic access, communication and independence without promising instant fluency.
Families can register interest in the schedules they could genuinely use. Foundry confirms a small cohort only when there is sufficient enrollment for the dates and learner profiles involved.
