The eight-week arc

Weeks 1–2

Understand the system

Explore inputs, outputs, sensors and the logic connecting them.

Weeks 3–4

Build the prototype

Create a small working system and divide meaningful roles across the team.

Weeks 5–6

Break and debug

Test edge cases, find failure points and make evidence-based revisions.

Weeks 7–8

Ship the challenge

Turn the prototype into a reliable demonstration another person can use.

Week-eight capstone

A final challenge families will remember.

Builders and parents receive the same practical brief and race to build, debug and demonstrate a working solution.
